Mobily's Malga 2 data center, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is the Kingdom's first Uptime Institute Certified Tier 4 facility for both design and construction. Operational since 2013, it is designed to meet the high demands of government, financial services, oil and gas, and other large enterprises. The facility offers various services, including full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and suites.
Power and Infrastructure
The facility has a fully built-out power capacity of 10 MW. As a Tier 4 facility, its power and cooling systems are fault-tolerant, with multiple independent systems providing redundant capacity components and diverse distribution paths. This design ensures that a single point of failure will not affect operations and allows for concurrent maintainability, meaning maintenance can be performed without interrupting service.
Cooling and Redundancy
Malga 2 is built to be a completely fault-tolerant facility, providing redundancy for every component. This extends to its cooling systems, which, like the power infrastructure, have multiple independent and redundant paths. The Tier 4 classification means the data center can sustain an outage of any single component or system without any impact on the critical load. This level of redundancy ensures a high uptime of 99.995%, which translates to less than 26.3 minutes of downtime per year.
Security and Safety
Security is a top priority at Malga 2, with 24/7 onsite security staff and comprehensive security protocols. The facility is also ISO 27001 Certified, an international standard for managing information security. These measures ensure the physical and virtual protection of critical data and equipment from unauthorized access and other threats.

It has redundant connections to Mobily's network, with International Gateways from both Jeddah and Dammam.
