NXDATA SRL Data Center

NXDATA-2 is NXDATA's second data center, launched in January 2009 and located at 6-A Dimitrie Pompeiu Boulevard, Bucharest, Romania, just 500 meters from NXDATA-1. Built on the platform of the former IEMI electronic equipment factory, it operates as a multi-tenant facility. The two data centers are interlinked by an underground high-capacity fiber optic ring, ensuring high-quality connectivity and access to the existing telecommunication networks in NXDATA-1.

The data center spans a Total Building Size of 1,000 sq.m. (8,718 square feet) over one floor with a Raised Floor design and a floor-to-ceiling height of 500 cm. It provides 401 square meters (4,316 square feet) of raised floor space for colocation, with a Fully Built-Out Whitespace of 500 sq.m. The floor is engineered to support a substantial maximum load of 1,500 kg/sq.m. The facility offers various colocation options including Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, Suites, Footprints, and even Build-to-Suit services, catering to high power density and rack weight requirements.

NXDATA-2 is equipped with 1 MW of access power. The UPS system provides N+N redundancy using 2 x 600 kVA units, achieving 2N+1 UPS Redundancy. Standby power is ensured by 2 x 1,120 kVA redundant Diesel generators providing 2N Standby Power Redundancy. Power delivery supports a Max power/rack of 8 kW. Cooling is managed by Emerson HVAC units with N+1 redundancy, contributing to a reported PUE of 1.5.

The facility maintains a high level of security, featuring a Tier 3 design. Security measures include a Fenced Perimeter, Mantrap Entry, CCTV video surveillance, Card Access Control, and 24/7 security guard(s) and Onsite Security Staff. Fire safety is handled by an Automatic Firesupression system utilizing VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) and Inert Gas. An Alarm system is also in place.

The data center is highly connected, featuring two large fiber entries (northern and southern fiber gates), each with 32 underground conduits for dual fiber optic connections. This setup allows all carriers from NXDATA-1 to be available or present in NXDATA-2. It serves as a significant interconnection point, hosting 2 Internet Exchange Points, 70 peering networks, and 19 network providers. A dedicated Meet-Me-Room (MMR) facilitates customer interconnections. 2 x 32 pre-run conduits are available for dual fiber optic connections.

NXDATA-2 holds key international certifications, including ISO 9001 Certified (Quality Management) and ISO 27001 Certified (Information Security Management System). The design is compliant with the Tier 3 standards.

The data center ensures continuous support and access with 24/7 access and 24/7 staff on-site (including technical staff). Services offered include Remote hands available and various hosting options such as Rental of suites/rooms, cages, foot prints, shared rackspace, Hosting of individual servers / via hosting providers, Dedicated servers, and Virtual servers. For clients, amenities include an Office space / client area, Conference Room, Breakroom, Loading Bay, Crash Cart(s), Loaner Tools, WiFi, and Parking Available.
