ROMARG Data Center

The ROMARG data center in Brașov, Romania, is a high-performance facility engineered for reliability and efficiency. It boasts an installed power capacity of up to 1,000 kW (1 MW) and a potential to house over 1,400 physical servers, with a scalable capacity that can reach 6,000 servers. The maximum floor load is robust, at 5,000 kg per square meter.

The facility features energy-efficient in-row air conditioning with a HOT AISLE containment system, achieving an excellent measured Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.32, positioning it among the most efficient data centers in Romania. The maximum power available per rack is 22 kW.

Operational consistency is ensured by 2N electrical redundancy, utilizing dual transformers and modular Legrand UPS systems. Backup power is provided by two generators with a rapid 10-second startup, supplemented by at least 30 minutes of battery autonomy. Cooling features N+1 redundancy.

ROMARG offers flexible colocation services, including options for Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, and Shared Rackspace, allowing clients to tailor their space to their specific needs.

The physical structure is built with fire-resistant materials and reinforced floors. Security features include Card Access Control and an advanced fire suppression system utilizing two separate Inergen gas detection and extinguishing systems—one for the technical room and one for the server room. The infrastructure also features AI-driven DDoS protection operating across three security layers to ensure robust cyber resilience.

Connectivity is a major strength, with over 200 Gbps of internet capacity. The center provides direct access to top-tier Romanian ISPs (like DIGI, Telekom, and Orange) and is linked to three major Internet Exchange points (BALCAN-IX, RONIX, INTERLAN). Remote Hands services are also available for client support.
