Vantage Data Centers (WAW1)

Vantage Data Centers is expanding its global footprint with a new data center campus in Poland, strategically located on a 12-acre (five-hectare) site just a 30-minute drive from Warsaw-Chopin International Airport. Once fully developed, the 390,000 square foot (36,000 square meters) campus will feature two four-story, state-of-the-art data centers. These facilities will provide a combined 48MW of critical IT load with an average density of 300W/SF (3.23kW/M²), and will be built and operated with a focus on sustainability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Power and Cooling Infrastructure

The Warsaw campus is designed with a robust and highly reliable power and cooling infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime. The campus will feature a dedicated onsite substation, with power supplied by Innogy, a leading regional energy provider. It will be supported by multiple, diverse power feeds and a 480V electrical configuration. All systems are 100% concurrently maintainable and provide N+1 redundancy across all systems, with N+2 component-level redundancy for mechanical systems. For cooling, the campus will utilize a highly efficient closed-loop chilled water system generated by air-cooled chillers. An integrated economizer capability will reduce energy consumption by leveraging outside ambient temperatures, making cooling more sustainable and efficient. This design results in a near-zero Water Utilization Efficiency (WUE).

Connectivity

Connectivity and security are paramount at the new Warsaw campus. The facility is carrier-neutral, offering customers the flexibility to manage their own networks. It provides access to both dark and lit fiber, with multiple and diverse fiber pathways and a minimum of two paths per carrier. The campus features four points-of-entry (POEs) to ensure maximum path diversity for inbound carriers, and each of the two data centers will have two separate Meet-Me-Rooms (MMRs).

Security
Security measures are stringent and comprehensive, including 24/7/365 onsite patrols from a security operations center, K12-rated fencing, CCTV on all access points, and a dual-authentication system for customer and critical infrastructure areas. A visitor management system with controlled and monitored access points further enhances security.

Customer Amenities and Sustainability

Vantage is committed to providing a superior customer environment. The Warsaw campus will include a variety of amenities designed to support staff and operations, such as dedicated, customizable office space, conference rooms, meeting spaces, and large-scale break rooms. Secure storage is also available with easy access between data modules. In line with Vantage's global commitment to sustainability, the campus incorporates several environmentally responsible features. These include the use of hyper-efficient cooling with outside air economization, electric vehicle charging stations for cars and bikes, and other sustainable practices like recycling, motion-sensor LED lighting, and drought-resistant landscaping. The campus prioritizes environmental responsibility while maintaining high reliability and operational standards.
