Launched in 2023, this new data center provides a significant footprint in Central America, offering approximately 5,500 mĀ² of total space. It is strategically located in Panama to help customers expand their presence and leverage the region's landing of several major submarine cables. The facility is designed to support scalable growth for various customer needs.
Design, Reliability, and Certification
The facility features a modular design and is constructed following the most stringent anti-seismic criteria to ensure durability. It is engineered to guarantee the maximum standards of reliability and performance, evidenced by its Uptime Instituteās Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility. Critical technical rooms are compartmentalized for easy access and maintenance.
Power Infrastructure and Capacity
The data center is supported by a robust 3.5 MW of power through UPS systems. This infrastructure is designed to support a maximum capacity of 650 racks distributed across five distinct modules. Customers are offered flexible solutions, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, and custom cage footprints.
Cooling, Efficiency, and Safety
To minimize its environmental impact, the facility adopts the latest energy-efficient power and cooling systems, including efficient UPS, Li-ion batteries, and LED lighting. It maintains a stable operating environment with delivery air controlled at 24Ā°C (Ā± 2Ā°C) and humidity at 50% (Ā± 15%). For fire protection, it utilizes a Novec 1230 clean agent total flooding suppression system.
Advanced Security Measures
Comprehensive, multi-layered security is in place to protect the infrastructure. The site is monitored by 24/7 CCTV surveillance and equipped with intrusion detection systems. Access is strictly controlled using card access, biometric scanners, and two-factor authentication, ensuring only authorized personnel can enter critical areas.
Connectivity and Meet Me Rooms
The data center offers uncompromised interconnectivity through dedicated Meet Me Rooms (MMR) located on each floor. These MMRs facilitate easy connection to the internal ecosystem, which includes two peering networks. They are ready to interconnect customers directly with a rich network of service providers, content owners, and OTT platforms.
