The GAM Business Solutions data center, developed by GSM Al Maghrib, is a Tier III Certified Constructed Facility located within the Kénitra Atlantic Free Zone, Morocco. Spanning 1,500 square meters of whitespace with a 2.2-megawatt fully built-out power capacity, this purpose-built, sole-tenant facility began operations in 2024. The project represents a significant strategic investment of 110 million MAD and aims to decentralize Morocco’s digital infrastructure away from the traditional Casablanca-Marrakech corridor.
Design, Construction, and Certification
The facility's development was a collaborative effort involving Techniprojet and Royal Haskoning, who provided essential services, including technical studies, comprehensive construction oversight, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Its design adheres to a Tier 3 standard, achieving Tier III Certified Constructed Facility status from the Uptime Institute. This certification ensures the data center meets rigorous standards for fault tolerance and availability, guaranteeing uninterrupted operations, data integrity, and high-quality services like full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and remote hands, all while maintaining a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.5.
