Host.md (MoldData Cloud Data Center) Data Center

The MoldData Cloud Data Center, operated by Host.MD, is a state-of-the-art colocation facility located in Chișinău, Moldova. It is equipped with modern and new equipment to provide high standards of service. The data center offers solutions including full cabinets, partial cabinets, and shared rackspace.

The facility ensures robust power continuity with a Fully Built-Out Power of 0.5 MW. It features two high-capacity Emerson UPS units for redundancy, providing 90 minutes of autonomy for the data center's maximum load. This is backed by a dedicated diesel generator that activates in 1–2 seconds. Racks receive power from two different sources to ensure uninterrupted operation.

Temperature and humidity are strictly monitored and controlled by two high-capacity HVAC units that provide both efficiency and redundancy. The system cools equipment from top to bottom, ensuring optimal operational conditions. Temperature sensors are monitored by system engineers, who can also manage the environment via a control interface.

The data center features advanced security measures including magnetic card access, which logs all entries. CCTV surveillance is active 24/7 with multiple motion-sensor-equipped cameras capable of storing footage for up to 90 days. Onsite security personnel are present around the clock.

The facility uses a modern fire detection and suppression system. A double-detection sensor network (optic and thermal) ensures timely alarms and is monitored continuously. Fire suppression uses INERGEN gas—a neutral mix of argon, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen—that effectively extinguishes fires without harming electronic equipment.

Connectivity is ensured through two-way connectors using Optic Fiber and Cat. 6 Ethernet cabling, placed on dedicated separated supports. The 42 RU racks are custom-built for the facility with adjustable brackets, perforated doors for air circulation, and security padlocks. Optional features include biometric access and dedicated surveillance for individual racks.

The Power Distribution Units (PDUs) feature 20 IEC 320-C13 and 4 IEC-320-C19 ports for efficient power management. They support electricity consumption monitoring via web interface, Telnet, SNMP, or SSH. An LCD screen displays load levels, while racks can also include LED screens showing capacity, humidity, and temperature. MoldData provides 24/7/365 customer support and remote hands services delivered by experienced system engineers.
