KIO Networks
The KIO Merida 1 (MER1) data center, operational since 2017, is a Tier I facility built with ISO high cube 40" containers and provides a comprehensive range of data center services.
Facility Capacity
MER1 features a total technical floor area of 21 square meters. The facility's design is robust, with a maximum floor load capacity of 567 kg/sq.m. and a raised floor type.
Hosting Services
The data center offers a variety of hosting solutions to meet diverse client needs, including Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, and Cages. Remote Hands service is also available for customer convenience.
Power & Cooling
Power infrastructure includes modular 60 kW UPS systems with N UPS Redundancy and redundant N electrical equipment. A 135 kW emergency generator provides standby power with an N Standby Power Redundancy and a 1.5-day diesel reserve. The cooling system features N+1 Cooling Redundancy. The facility maintains an average PUE of 2 and utilizes a Building Monitoring System (BMS) to oversee its electromechanical infrastructure.
Safety & Security
Security measures are stringent, featuring a fenced perimeter, ballistic resistance level 4 (in accordance with UL752), 24/7 CCTV surveillance, Card Access Control (proximity card access), and dedicated Onsite Security Staff available 24/7. Fire protection is advanced, incorporating smoke detectors, VESDA early fire detection, an Automatic Firesupression system, and a Double interlock preaction system.
Customer Convenience
For operational support, MER1 has dedicated Onsite Technical Staff available 24/7 and a dedicated NOC for continuous operations and network monitoring.
Network & Connectivity
MER1 offers carrier-neutral connectivity with current carriers including Totalplay, Red IT, Metrocarrier, and Megacable. The facility also supports 3 peering networks.
