Bacloud has been operating its own data center since 2005, located at Pramones street 15 in Siauliai, within the territory of the former Siauliai Tauras TV factory. This location is considered ideal for data center operations, offering essential benefits such as excellent communications infrastructure, the high availability of high-capacity electricity, and the advantages of a separate factory territory.
Data Center Construction and Design
The facilities are securely built inside an existing building. This retrofitted construction means that the server facilities are efficiently integrated within the structure. The data center is a multi-tenant (mixed-use) facility that features expandable whitespace, roof access, and a Meet-Me-Room (MMR).
Power Redundancy
To avoid electrical disturbances and ensure high availability, the data center employs a robust N+2 UPS redundancy solution from APC. This is further backed up by reliable American CAT (Caterpillar) diesel generators, ensuring continuous operation even during a utility power failure.
Network Connectivity
To maintain an uninterrupted internet connection, fiber lines are installed reaching the building from different sides of the city. This redundancy in connectivity ensures that a failure in one line does not disrupt service. The data center currently utilizes two different network providers.
Cooling and Environmental Efficiency
An innovative cooling system is used to cool the server facilities, sustaining a constant temperature that is most suitable for the equipment. In an effort to be efficient, the heat generated by the data center is captured and reused to warm the data center's office space.
Security, Services, and Certifications
The facility is a Tier 3 design and is ISO 27001 Certified. Security is comprehensive, featuring 24/7 onsite security staff, CCTV surveillance, and card access control. For fire protection, an advanced fire-suppression system with inert gas is installed. Bacloud offers a range of services, including Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages Footprints, and Remote Hands.
