TransSahara operates the first commercial data center in Libya, launched in 2020. This facility provides secure, reliable, and high-availability cloud services. Key offerings include Virtual Machines (VMs), backups, and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS). The company offers flexible tenancy types such as Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, and Build-to-Suit options in its Multi-tenant environment.
Data Center Infrastructure & Redundancy
The company currently operates two active data center nodes and has plans for three more, notably including a geo-redundant node in Benghazi to ensure robust service continuity. The Tier design is classified as Tier 3, with 2N redundancy for its UPS (6Hr system), Cooling (6Hr system), and Standby Power (utilizing UPS, DC Battery, and Generators).

The data center is a purpose-built facility with a Total Building Size of 5,000 sq.m., of which 1,000 sq.m. is Fully Built-Out Whitespace. It features a Solid Floor construction and includes essential amenities like a Meet-Me-Room (MMR), Conference Room, Breakroom, Office Space, Loading Bay, Crash Cart(s), WiFi, and Parking. It became operational in 2023.
Power & Cooling Capacity
The facility boasts a Fully Built-Out Power capacity of 1 MW. It supports high-density requirements with a Max power/rack of 54 kW and a Max power/area of 5 kW/sq.m.
Security & Compliance
TransSahara adheres to strict security and compliance standards, holding Tier 3, DSS PCI, ISO27001, and ISO9001 certifications. Physical security features include a Fenced Perimeter, Mantrap Entry, CCTV surveillance, Biometric Access Control, and Card Access Control. Fire safety is managed via Automatic Firesupression.
Onsite Staffing & Connectivity
The data center ensures continuous support with Onsite Security Staff available 24/7 and Onsite Technical Staff available 24/7. The facility currently has one network provider and hosts tenants offering cloud services.
