Kazakhtelecom's data center in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, is a Tier III certified facility designed for high reliability, allowing for maintenance without interrupting operations. Operational since 2012, the center is housed in a retrofitted five-story telephone exchange. Developed in collaboration with Hewlett-Packard Critical Facilities Services, the facility provides a total IT load capacity of 1.6 MW across 1,000 square meters of whitespace. TPA Studio provided architectural and planning support for its phased expansion.
Cooling and Infrastructure
The data center utilizes a robust cooling system featuring STULZ CyberAir 3 GE precision air conditioners, with 10 units in Hall I and 11 in Hall II (each rated at 81 kW). This is complemented by six Guentner dry cooling towers and dedicated 2x2 air conditioners for the UPS zones. The infrastructure includes a full supply and exhaust system, smoke and gas removal, and a pumping station, all integrated beneath a raised false floor for efficient airflow and cable management.
Services and Hosting Options
The facility supports a variety of services, including virtual and physical hosting, domain registration, and data backup for internet resources. It also offers "Remote Hands" support for clients. To accommodate different customer needs, the center provides flexible colocation options, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and suites.
