Big Data Exchange (BDx) is a content exchange platform with data centers located across Hong Kong, mainland China, Singapore, and the U.K. It provides hybrid cloud, colocation, and connectivity solutions that deliver strong security, high reliability, and efficient infrastructure management for global enterprises. BDx’s carrier-neutral approach allows seamless integration across its ecosystem through BDx Federated SDN, BDx Armour, and BDx Single Pane, offering clients cloud-like control over physical infrastructure via automated modules.
Power and Space Capacity
The BDx facility offers a fully built-out power capacity of 6.7 MW and a whitespace area of 4,152 square meters. It supports full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, and cages. The raised floor design can withstand a maximum load of 6.5 kg per square meter, and the floor-to-ceiling height is 420 cm.
Redundancy and Tier Design
BDx infrastructure includes 2N UPS redundancy, N+1 cooling redundancy, and N+1 standby power redundancy. The facility is designed and certified to Tier 3 standards, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.

The data center is compliant with DSS PCI and certified under ISO27001 and ISO9001 standards, reflecting its strong commitment to security, quality, and data protection.
Security and Fire Protection
Security features include a fenced perimeter, 24/7 onsite security staff, CCTV surveillance, biometric and card access controls. Fire protection systems consist of gaseous fire suppression and dry-pipe pre-action sprinklers with automatic activation.
Operational Highlights
Operational since 2002, the BDx data center also includes a Meet-Me-Room (MMR) with connectivity to six peering networks. It offers remote hands support for on-site assistance, ensuring reliable operation and customer convenience.
