AdaniConneX operates Chennai’s largest data center, with a total IT capacity of 33 MW. Phase 1 provides 17 MW of IT load and is already live. The facility has been designed with TIA 942B Rated 3 standards, while one floor is certified for TIA 942B Rated 4. With extensive fiber, density, and peering options, the data center ensures high-quality, low-latency international interconnectivity, accelerating content delivery, cloud access, and ICT services in the region.

The purpose-built Chennai data center offers 17 MW of fully built-out power and 3,500 square meters of whitespace within a total building size of 200,000 square meters. It supports full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rack space, and private cages. The facility also provides remote hands support, expandable whitespace, and conference rooms to meet diverse business needs. Designed for high rack density and customizable configurations, it also offers portable kW, enabling flexible power commitments across facilities.

The data center is engineered with robust infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted performance. It delivers a maximum of 7 kW per rack and 2 kW per square meter of power density, operating with a PUE of 2. The facility is equipped with 2N redundancy for UPS, cooling, and standby power systems. Redundant and carefully monitored cooling systems maintain stable temperature and humidity levels, ensuring consistent performance for mission-critical applications.

Security is prioritized through multiple protective layers, including a fenced perimeter, mantrap entry, CCTV surveillance, biometric and card-based access controls, and automatic fire suppression systems. The facility is staffed with 24/7 onsite security personnel, providing comprehensive protection for customer equipment and data.

Hostzop’s space within the AdaniConneX Chennai Data Center benefits from a network-neutral environment, allowing enterprises to access and interconnect with multiple network providers. With four network providers and one cloud service tenant, customers enjoy greater choice and scalability for their digital operations.

The Chennai facility is designed to achieve IGBC Platinum Standard and holds multiple global certifications. These include ISO 9001 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 for Environmental Management Systems, ISO 45001 for Occupational Health and Safety, PCI DSS for Payment and Card Data Security, and ISO 27001 for Information Security.

Since becoming operational in 2021, the facility has been serving as a multi-tenant, purpose-built construction with 24/7 onsite technical staff. Its carrier-neutral design, high-density power availability, and Tier 3 standard infrastructure ensure efficiency and resilience.
