TI Sparkle (MedNautilus) Data Center

The MedNautilus Greece co-location sites encompass an area of more than 8,000 m² and are strategically situated in Koropi and Metamorphosis in Attica, and in Chania on the island of Crete. The facilities feature a total building size of 1,579 sq.m. and a Fully Built-Out Power of 0.8 MW, providing state-of-the-art data center infrastructure designed to meet advanced international standards.

The facilities offer a comprehensive range of modern services including co-location with first and second level support, storage networking, managed hosting, disaster recovery, Full and Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, and Cages Footprints. Customers benefit from reliable technical support and customer service from the initial planning stages through to final implementation, ensuring seamless operational performance.

The infrastructure is designed and built with full N+1 system redundancy, ensuring maximum availability. The Electrical Supply includes two high-voltage sources from separate power transformers, an electrical capacity exceeding 1 KVA/m², and Diesel UPS back-up systems composed of 2 CPS (1000 KVA each) to support continuous operation. The design features double DC power feeds (A+B) and an Automatic Static Transfer Switch (ASTS) system option. The Electro-mechanical SLA guarantees 99.999% uptime. Cooling is provided by advanced Liebert units (350,000 BTU each) using direct venting via raised floors, maintaining 22 °C ± 1 °C and 50% ± 10% humidity, with a 99.99% SLA.

The MedNautilus sites comply with NEBS (Network Equipment Building Standards) and hold multiple international certifications, including PCI Certification, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001, reflecting the company’s commitment to operational excellence and data security.

Each facility is equipped with advanced physical security systems, featuring smart card access, biometric cameras, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance, all monitored by 24/7 onsite security personnel. Fire protection is ensured through an FM200 gas-based extinguishing system with manual activation and a “dry” water back-up, while the structure is rated for four hours of fire resistance. The Building Management System (BMS) continuously monitors and controls all facility systems around the clock.

Tenants benefit from a wide range of amenities including professional technical support, customer service, and flexible hosting options such as full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, and cages. The facility also includes a dedicated Meet-Me-Room (MMR) and specialized infrastructure like a 1 OHM grounding system and HP filtering for HF currents.

MedNautilus provides extensive telecommunications infrastructure and connectivity solutions through its parent company’s network, linking the Eastern Mediterranean region with Western Europe and North America. Locally, the network offers direct connectivity with Chania and, in the near future, Thessalonica. The Metamorphosis data center serves as a major local hub, hosting carriers such as OTE, Attica Telecom, Vodafone, TIM, and Tellas with dual routing connections. Connectivity options range from wavelength services to 2 Mbps and above, supporting technologies like SDH, ATM, GbE, and TCP/IP.
