NTT Global Data Centers (Munich 2)
The Munich 2 Data Center is located in Unterschleißheim, approximately
25 km north of e-shelter’s Munich 1 site. Purpose-built for data center operations,
it spans a plot of over 18,000 sqm, with about 6,200 sqm of data center space
developed across two building stages. The first stage was completed in May 2017.
Infrastructure and Capacity
The facility offers a fully built-out power capacity of 14 MW and 6,300 sqm of whitespace. It operates as a sole-tenant data center, with a Tier 3 design and certification. Power systems include two separate UPS systems (A- and B-supply) with 2N redundancy, and a redundantly designed standby power system with N+1 diesel generators per building. High-efficiency chiller systems with integrated or separate recoolers and custom, weather-dependent energy management systems ensure reliable cooling.
Colocation Options and Services
Munich 2 offers a wide range of colocation solutions, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and suites (note: footprints are not available). Remote Hands services are also provided. The facility houses a Meet-Me-Room (MMR), supports one Internet Exchange Point, and offers connectivity through four peering networks.
