p>Heidelberg iT Management has unveiled its newest and most innovative data center in Heidelberg, Germany—housed within “The Wave House,” Europe’s largest 3D-printed building. This pioneering structure covers approximately 600 square meters and features a visually striking, wave-inspired design made possible through advanced 3D printing technology. Using a COBOD BOD2 printer, the building's walls were constructed in just 140 hours, showcasing a new era of fast, efficient, and sustainable construction.
Power & Building Details
The Wave House is designed with a fully built-out power capacity of 0.5 megawatts, supporting a variety of deployment options including full cabinets, partial cabinets, and shared rackspace. Remote hands services are also included to ensure seamless support and operational reliability. The entire structure spans 600 square meters and was officially brought online in 2024. Its infrastructure is tailored to meet the rising demands of cloud computing and data storage while maintaining high energy efficiency.

A cornerstone of The Wave House project is its commitment to sustainability. The building was constructed using 450 tons of recyclable concrete with a significantly reduced carbon footprint, aligning with Heidelberg iT’s broader eco-friendly initiatives.
