The LWLCOM data centres in Bremen offer a total of three separate facilities, all interconnected by LWLCOM’s state-of-the-art optical fibre network. The Hermann-Ritter-Strasse site provides 500 sq.m. of fully built-out whitespace within a total building size of 900 sq.m., expandable as needed. The facility operates with a Tier 3 design, providing up to 7 kW per rack and built on raised floor infrastructure across two floors. The site includes a meet-me-room (MMR), conference room, breakroom, office space, loading bay, crash carts, loaner tools, WiFi, and parking facilities (available on booking). With a total plot size of 3,000 sq.m., the building was retrofitted and has been in operation since 2014 as a sole-tenant site.

Customers benefit from a flexible range of hosting solutions, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, suites, and footprints. Dedicated own rooms or suites are available alongside multiple racks or partial racks. Additional services include remote hands, installation and commissioning, delivery and collection support, as well as on-site technical assistance during business hours.

The power infrastructure is supported by medium-voltage electricity supplied directly by the local power company, backed up by diesel generators and N+1 UPS redundancy. Each rack is served with both A and B feeds at 230V AC or 48V DC. Sustainability targets are supported by on-site solar panels. Cooling systems employ temperature-controlled areas with hot aisle and cold aisle containment, designed with N+1 redundancy for optimal efficiency.

The facility is designed to Tier 3 standards, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance. Built to align with industry best practices, it incorporates N+1 redundancy for UPS, cooling, and standby power systems, ensuring compliance with stringent uptime and reliability requirements.

Comprehensive security is enforced through a fenced perimeter, 24/7 CCTV surveillance, and biometric and card-based access control systems. Data centre entry follows a two-stage authentication procedure. Fire protection is managed via early fire detection systems, alarms, and automatic suppression technologies. Onsite security and technical staff are available during business hours to further enhance protection and operational assurance.

To support client operations, LWLCOM offers amenities such as free WiFi and office use (with prior booking), meeting and conference facilities, and breakroom space. Free parking is available upon request, and dedicated customer areas ensure smooth business operations within the premises. Delivery, collection, and installation services further enhance customer convenience.

As a carrier-neutral provider, LWLCOM delivers its own high-capacity connectivity within Bremen and to other major German cities, supplemented by a wide choice of carriers including Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, EWE Tel, Bremen Brite Line, COLT, LUMEN, Cogent, Versatel, Gasline, and Wingas. The Hermann-Ritter-Strasse site hosts major networks such as euNetworks, EXA Networks, NGN, and Telefonica. Content providers and internet platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Meta, and Google are directly present, alongside the BRE-IX (Bremen Internet Exchange). With one internet exchange point and 10 network providers available, the facility ensures reliable and diverse connectivity.
