The building consists of three floors and is rated for a maximum floor load of 800 kg/sq.m.
Connectivity and Network Infrastructure
The data center features high-capacity connectivity, supporting data circuits up to 40 Gbps. It maintains 10 Gbps connections to NIX (Neutral Internet eXchange), CE Colo, and TTC Telekomunikace, along with a 10 Gbps connection to the Slovak SIX. International IP connectivity is sourced from Prague, Brno, and Bratislava. The facility houses endings for various local and long-haul optical networks and allows for the use of services from other operators. The itself s.r.o. optical backbone network is extensive, featuring two diversified fiber routes connecting to Ivancice, two routes to Prague, Vienna, and Bratislava, an optical line to Ostrava and Cesky Tesin (Poland connection), and multiple local routes within Brno. The center utilizes three peering networks and one primary network provider.
Environmental Control
A comprehensive cooling solution is used to maintain optimal operating conditions. Each room is equipped with a York/Carrier air conditioning system configured for N+1 redundancy. The environment is permanently controlled to maintain a typical temperature of 22°C (± 2°C) and humidity of 50% (± 10%). This system forces pressurized cool air into a raised double floor, which then cools the telecommunications and storage equipment via direct airflow or through a hot and cold aisle configuration.
Security and Fire Protection
The telecommunication rooms are protected by an FM-200 gas fire suppression system and an electronic fire alarm warning system. Both systems are directly connected to the Network Operation Monitoring Center. For physical security, the building is secured with an electronic alarm system linked to an on-site surveillance center. A CCTV camera system with recording equipment provides monitoring outputs for the network operation center. Each customer is assigned a chip for independent access to the building.
Power and Redundancy
The power supply is designed for high availability with two separate distribution systems. This setup is backed up by diesel generators in an N+1 redundancy configuration (2 x Caterpillar 550 kVA), complete with their own measuring and protection systems. Connection to a central UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) is also available.
