ZonerCloud’s primary data center, located at its Brno headquarters (Nové Sady), is a Tier III-classified facility engineered for high availability, redundancy, and enterprise-grade performance. The internal infrastructure is built upon Dell FX2 and M1000e blade servers complemented by high-speed iSCSI SSD storage arrays. This hardware is linked by Dell converged backbone switches using dual 100 Gbit connections, while the local LAN and SAN infrastructure currently operates on 10 Gbit lines, with a planned upgrade to 25 Gbit.
Security, Power, and Environmental Systems
The facility is protected by comprehensive 24/7 physical and electronic security, which includes constant CCTV surveillance and an onsite security staff. To ensure uninterrupted operation, the power supply is backed up by a robust UPS system, and individual servers are accessible via a plug reboot system for remote restarts. The rooms are constantly air-conditioned to maintain optimal operating temperatures and are equipped with an advanced Novec 1230 gas extinguishing system (GHZ) for fire suppression.
Connectivity and Network Redundancy
High availability for connectivity is achieved through dual optical circuits sourced from two independent ISPs. This setup provides significant network redundancy and reliability. Furthermore, the data center maintains direct peering via the BR-IX (Brno Internet eXchange) node, ensuring efficient data routing and low-latency connections.
Geographical Redundancy and Disaster Recovery
This primary Brno site is a central part of a larger, geographically redundant cloud backbone. It is tightly integrated with a secondary Tier II disaster recovery site (Kovoterm, Brno) and a third Tier III site in Prague (Casablanca). This multi-site architecture ensures robust service continuity and disaster recovery capabilities. The data center, operated by ZONER, s.r.o., provides clients with non-stop access to their servers, 365 days a year.
