The Flagship LCA1 Facility
LCA1, which commenced operations in December 2020, is the largest data center in Cyprus and one of the most advanced in the region, offering unparalleled reliability, security, and flexibility. It is a single-tenant, detached, and fenced building designed and built to a Tier III standard, even meeting several Tier IV requirements like continuous cooling and compartmentalization. Simplex offers a 99.999% SLA for its electromechanical infrastructure and proudly maintains a record of zero downtime since it began operating its first data center in 2007.

In its first year of operation, the LCA1 facility quickly gained industry acclaim for its high standards. It was recognized for reliable and efficient data center operation at the Impact Bite Awards, the most important technology and innovation awards in Greece. Furthermore, LCA1 was shortlisted as a finalist for the 2021 Middle East & Africa Data Center Development Award of the DCD Awards, an event often referred to as the “Oscars of the data center industry.”

Simplex demonstrates a deep commitment to quality, security, and sustainability, backed by multiple certifications and memberships. The Datacenter is a member of the European Data Center Association (EUDCA) and is the only signatory from Cyprus for the European Climate Neutral Data Center Pact (CNDCP). All Datacenters services are certified with ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 27001:2013 (Security), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental), and EMAS.
Power and Cooling Infrastructure
The facility's infrastructure is built for high availability, with 1 MW of fully built-out power across 800 sq.m. of whitespace. Power redundancy is ensured by a 2N UPS configuration using Galaxy VX 100KVA and Easy UPS 40KVA systems. Standby power features N+1 redundancy via diesel generators with a runtime capacity exceeding 72 hours. Cooling, which utilizes an N+1 redundant water-cooling system, is delivered underfloor.
Physical Security and Facility Specifications
The purpose-built, sole-tenant building features robust physical security measures, including a fenced perimeter, comprehensive CCTV surveillance, biometric access control, and card access control. It is protected by an automatic VESDA fire suppression system. The 985 sq.m. building includes a raised floor with a 320 cm floor-to-ceiling height, a Meet-Me-Room (MMR) for its 3 network providers, office space, and a loading bay. Onsite technical staff are available during business hours, and parking is provided.
