This data center, operational since Q4 2012, is a purpose-built, multi-tenant facility offering a high-availability solution primarily intended for Disaster Recovery (DR). It is located 35 km from Zagreb in a different seismic zone from the city, which is a key feature for DR planning.
The facility offers white space up to 600 m², which is expandable to 1,300 m² in its fully built-out state. It can support a maximum power density of 3 kW/sq.m. The fully built-out power capacity is 4 MW. The site is designed to a Tier 3 standard, guaranteeing an SLA availability of 99.982%.
The center is built to meet or exceed the highest international safety and quality standards, including certification with ISO 27001. Its design and location in a separate seismic zone from Zagreb specifically supports its role as a robust Disaster Recovery site. The standards meet those set by the Croatian National Bank (HNB) and other regulatory agencies like HANFA. The UPS Redundancy is specified as 2N+1, contributing significantly to its Tier 3 availability.
As a Carrier Neutral Data Centre, it provides users with choice and redundancy in connectivity. It features optical connections to two nodes in Zagreb and direct links to major Internet Exchanges: CIX, Vienna Internet Exchange (VIX), and Budapest Internet Exchange (BIX). The excellent traffic connections with Zagreb, combined with multiple fiber routes, enable real-time synchronized data replication for DR purposes.
Security is stringent, both physical and technical. Access control includes Biometric Access Control and Card Access Control, complemented by CCTV surveillance. For fire suppression, the site uses a redundant gas fire extinguishing system (Novec) with multiple fire zones, as well as an Automatic Fire Suppression system. The facility maintains 24/7 Onsite Security Staff and 24/7 Onsite Technical Staff.
Beyond the highly protected white space for IT equipment (colocation services including Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, and Suites Footprints), the premise includes dedicated office space. This space is set up as a Business Continuity Center, allowing users to immediately continue operations in the event their primary locations are damaged or during DR scenario testing.
