N Plus Networks Data Center

NPlus Networks operates as a premier data center hub within the Canadian Technology Triangle, specifically located in a 100,000 ft 2 independent facility in Kitchener Waterloo, Ontario. As a Tier 4 designed, purpose built, sole tenant facility, it offers unparalleled reliability for North American enterprises. The site is engineered for maximum performance, featuring a fully built out power capacity of 12 MW and a design philosophy created “by data center users, for data center users.” This includes specialized amenities such as dedicated setup and testing areas, secure shipping and receiving, a Meet Me Room, and professional conference and breakroom facilities to ensure a seamless operational environment.

Security at NPlus is defined by a multi layered, best of class approach designed to protect mission critical hardware. The facility is guarded 24/7 by onsite security staff and monitored via 360° video surveillance. Access is strictly controlled through facial recognition, man traps, and multi level biometrics for both the facility and individual racks. Notably, NPlus provides the industry’s only front and back biometric controlled rack access, ensuring that physical security is maintained at the most granular level possible.

Recognizing the limitations of traditional hardware housing, NPlus custom designed extra large Smart racks sized at 47U x 800mm. These units are engineered for superior heat dissipation and cleaner cabling, accommodating both current and future equipment configurations with a massive maximum power density of 100 kW per rack. Each rack is integrated with an intuitive web interface, allowing for remote environmental monitoring and alerting. These features ensure that clients have total visibility and control over their physical environment without needing to be on site.

The facility’s power infrastructure is built for zero downtime, utilizing redundant AB power paths supported by redundant generators and battery backups. Clients receive clean, conditioned power with flexible options including 120V, 240V, or 3 Phase 208V dual 30A circuits. A key differentiator in the billing model is that power is billed by sustained usage rather than boot up peaks. Furthermore, the use of Smart PDUs enables discrete power cycling and remote monitoring of all draws, allowing administrators to reboot services from anywhere at any time.

Connectivity is anchored by a self healing, multiply redundant 100Gbps network infrastructure. NPlus utilizes multiple multi gigabit connections to several major Internet providers, including Bell, Rogers, and Cogent. For organizations requiring specific peering or low latency connections, the facility supports private links to 151 Front St. in Toronto, the region’s primary Telco Hotel. This robust network backbone is designed to handle massive data throughput with the high reliability required for big data and real time applications.

Beyond physical space, NPlus offers a comprehensive suite of intelligent managed services, including Smart Hands support where technically skilled associates execute tasks ranging from simple soft boots to complex disaster recovery plans.
