The facility is situated within a highly secure tech complex in Mississauga, providing a prime location for businesses requiring low-latency connectivity to major Canadian markets. Spanning a total building size of 29,000 square feet, the data center features 6,420 square feet of fully built-out whitespace. Operational since 2015, the site is designed with a raised floor system and includes essential amenities such as a dedicated Meet-Me-Room (MMR), conference rooms, breakrooms, and office spaces to support on-site personnel and clients.

With 4 MW of fully built-out power, the Hut 8 facility is engineered to handle the intense energy demands of modern AI and cloud workloads. The power architecture is defined by a 2N redundancy model, ensuring that there is no single point of failure. This infrastructure is further bolstered by an indoor generator facility located off-grounds from the main data center, which provides an additional layer of risk mitigation and ensures continuous power delivery during external grid failures.

Maintaining optimal hardware performance is a priority, achieved through precision HVAC and environmental controls. The cooling systems operate on an N+1 redundancy scale, protecting against equipment malfunctions and ensuring that the servers remain within strict thermal thresholds. This combination of precision cooling and fault-tolerant architecture allows the data center to support high-density configurations without compromising the lifespan of the hardware.

As a carrier-neutral facility, the Mississauga data center provides diverse fiber paths and seamless interconnectivity. It currently hosts three major network providers, offering clients low-latency access to global networks and major cloud providers. The infrastructure includes dedicated loading bays for hardware arrival and on-site WiFi, facilitating a streamlined networking environment for businesses that require high-speed, reliable data transfers.

Security is maintained through a "defense-in-depth" strategy, starting with a mantrap entry and biometric access controls. The facility is monitored 24/7 by CCTV surveillance and on-site security personnel. To ensure physical protection, the site utilizes card access controls and an automatic fire suppression system.
