Nordik DC operates on a massive scale, boasting over 2 million square feet of land designed for long term growth. The inaugural phase, NDC1, is housed in a purpose built, single story facility covering 46,000 square feet. Strategically situated in a distinct climatic and seismic zone from major hubs like Montreal and Quebec City, the site offers a geographically diverse fail safe for critical data. The building itself is engineered for resilience, featuring 24 foot high walls, four service doors, and a specialized seismic design to ensure structural integrity under extreme conditions.

Built to the rigorous Tier III standards of the Uptime Institute, the facility is designed for high availability and concurrent maintainability. The site is currently powered by 5MW of capacity, supporting high density requirements with a maximum power of 25 kW per rack. To ensure uninterrupted service, the infrastructure utilizes N+1 redundancy across its Uninterruptible Power Supply and standby power systems. This architecture guarantees that the data center remains operational during equipment maintenance or unexpected power fluctuations.

Environmental responsibility is at the core of Nordik DC’s operations, as the facility is powered by 100 percent renewable energy. The center utilizes an innovative CO2 based air conditioning system, which is significantly more eco friendly than traditional chemical refrigerants. This energy efficient design is further enhanced by a sophisticated heat recovery system, allowing the facility to repurpose thermal byproduct. These cooling systems also maintain N+1 redundancy, ensuring that optimal temperatures are preserved even during a component failure.

The facility employs a defense in depth security strategy to protect physical assets and data. The perimeter and entry points are secured by a steel carousel, a dedicated guard post, and a mantrap entry system to prevent unauthorized tailgating. Interior security is managed through a combination of smart locks, card access controls, and cutting edge facial recognition technology. These physical barriers are bolstered by 24 7 video recording and continuous monitoring by onsite security staff, providing a comprehensive surveillance blanket across the entire plot.

Nordik DC offers a highly adaptable whitespace of 44,000 square feet, catering to a wide variety of client needs. Whether a business requires shared rackspace, partial cabinets, full cabinets, or private cages and suites, the floor plan is designed for maximum versatility. For organizations with unique requirements, NDC offers Build to Suit options, allowing for the construction of entire data rooms or centers tailored to specific infrastructure, power, and cooling specifications.

Beyond the server floor, the facility provides a full suite of professional amenities including office spaces, conference rooms, breakrooms, and a dedicated Meet Me Room for carrier interconnection. Logistics are streamlined via a functional loading bay and ample onsite parking. Technical reliability is further ensured by a 24 7 available workforce and Remote Hands services, allowing for immediate onsite troubleshooting. For safety, the entire building is protected by a pre action automatic fire suppression system, designed to extinguish threats without damaging sensitive electronic equipment.
