The SaskTel Regina Central Data Centre is a premier, state of the art facility engineered for high level secure hosting. It holds the prestigious Tier III Uptime Institute certification, a benchmark that guarantees redundant systems for power, cooling, and power generation. This classification ensures that all hosted IT infrastructure remains operational during maintenance or unexpected equipment failures, providing a foundation of reliability for enterprise level needs.

Designed as a hardened structure, the building is built to withstand external threats with no direct access through windows or doors. It is strategically located in a geologically stable environment, which significantly reduces the risk of natural disasters. Internally, the facility adheres to ASHRAE 2011 Class A1 guidelines, maintaining precise temperature and humidity levels to ensure the longevity and peak performance of sensitive hardware.

To prevent downtime, the data centre utilizes a sophisticated N+1 UPS and standby power redundancy model. Every rack is equipped with A and B power distribution units, allowing for concurrent maintenance without service interruption. In the event of a total grid failure, onsite diesel generators can sustain operations for at least three days, backed by a priority refueling agreement with the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency.

The facility features a robust N+1 cooling system that exceeds standard ventilation requirements to manage high density heat loads. Protection against fire is handled by an advanced two stage dry pipe fire suppression system, designed to mitigate damage to electrical components while ensuring rapid response. This combination of climate control and fire safety provides a stable, always on environment for critical data.

Security is enforced through a blend of physical and electronic measures. Access is strictly controlled via mantrap entries, biometric scanners, and card access points. The premises are under continuous CCTV surveillance and are patrolled 24/7 by bonded security personnel. These stringent policies ensure that only authorized individuals can enter the facility, protecting the physical integrity of the client’s hardware.

Spanning 7,100 square feet of fully built out whitespace, the centre offers flexible hosting options including full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, and private cages. Beyond the server floor, the facility provides logistical support through a Meet Me Room, loading bays, and office and conference spaces. Clients also have access to 24/7 onsite technical staff and Remote Hands services to assist with hardware management at any hour.
