Equinix (CL3) Data Center

The facility is engineered for high-density performance, currently supporting 13 MVA of critical power capacity. At full build-out, the site scales to a total of 17 MW, ensuring that growing workloads are consistently supported. The electrical architecture is underpinned by an N+1 UPS redundancy and N+1 standby power redundancy, providing a reliable failover mechanism that guarantees uptime for mission-critical applications.

Spanning over 68,000 sq. ft. of total whitespace, the campus is designed to accommodate various hardware configurations. The environment is partitioned into 65,725 sq. ft. of fully built-out space featuring a raised floor system for efficient cabling and airflow. Clients can choose from a range of housing options, including full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, and custom cage footprints, all managed within a single-story, sole-tenant building.

To maintain peak hardware efficiency, the data center utilizes an N+1 cooling redundancy system. This ensures that even during equipment maintenance or localized failures, the ambient temperature remains within optimal ranges. The facility also features a double-interlocked pre-action fire suppression system, providing a sophisticated layer of protection that prevents accidental water discharge while ensuring rapid response in the event of a fire.

Connectivity is a primary strength of this campus, featuring redundant links between all major Western Canadian data centers. The facility serves as a strategic hub with two dedicated Meet-Me-Rooms (MMR), hosting two primary network providers and an Internet Exchange Point (IXP). With access to 12 peering networks, tenants benefit from low-latency data transfer and high-performance global reach.

Physical security is handled through a multi-layered approach that operates 24/7/365. The perimeter and interior are protected by CCTV surveillance, mantrap entries, and biometric access controls alongside standard card access. Onsite security staff monitor the premises around the clock, ensuring that only authorized personnel can navigate the facility’s secure zones.

The data center adheres to rigorous international standards to support regulated industries such as finance and healthcare. It is fully PCI DSS certified for payment card security and holds ISO 27001, ISO 22301, SOC 1 Type II, and SOC 2 Type II certifications. These designations confirm that the facility operates with the highest levels of data privacy, operational continuity, and internal procedural controls.

Beyond the server racks, the campus provides a comprehensive support ecosystem for visiting technicians and permanent staff. The facility includes office spaces, conference rooms, breakrooms, and WiFi, alongside practical tools like crash carts. Technical needs are addressed by 24/7 onsite Remote Hands and expert staff, while logistics are simplified by adjacent parking and dedicated roof access for specialized equipment.
