The Sofia Data Center is a purpose-built facility with a Total Building Size of 990 sq.m. It features a Fully Built-Out Whitespace of 700 sq.m. and a Fully Built-Out Power capacity of 1 MW.
Facility Specifications
The data center spans 2 floors with a Total area of 660 sq.m. It boasts a floor height of 3.50m. and a raised floor to 0.5m. The Max Floor Load is 2000 kg/sq.m. (which is significantly higher than the 3kN stated elsewhere, but 3kN≈300kg≈300kg/sq.m. so 2000kg/sq.m. is the maximum). It utilizes a Free Cooling Air Conditioning System for energy efficiency, potentially lowering energy usage by up to 50% in cooler months. For Disaster Protection, the building is seismically protected, projected to withstand earthquakes of magnitude 9 on the MSK scale, and uses a VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) fire alarm system along with an IG-55 & FM200 fire suppression gas system.
Redundancy and Reliability
The facility is designed as a Tier 3 colocation center, ensuring high availability with 2N+1 UPS Redundancy, N+1 Cooling Redundancy, and N+1 Standby Power Redundancy. Power is supplied from two independent sources with automatic switching 1+1 electric generators that have a fuel tank for 72 hours of operation. It has completely independent (N+1) A and B UPS systems and independent (N+1) A and B 48V DC power systems.

The data center offers a variety of colocation services to meet diverse customer needs, including Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, and Suites. Build-to-Suit options and Footprints are also available. The core Colocation service allows customers to connect to all Bulgarian telecom operators and some of the largest international ones.

Security is maintained with 24-hour security, computer access control, video surveillance, and individual locks for each drawer. It connects directly to all neighboring countries and reaches the Caucasus region via the Black Sea. Furthermore, it is connected to the SEA-ME WE 3 and MedNautilus submarine cable systems.
