The Conova Communications Datacenter, located in Salzburg, offers space for more than 10,000 servers and delivers highly sophisticated and advanced services. Operational since 2019, it is ISO 27001 certified and EN50600 Class 3 compliant.
Power and Cooling
The datacenter features dual redundant power feeds from the utility, supported by dedicated 30kV transformer stations, and provides fully built-out power of 1 MW. Cooling and UPS systems are configured with N+1 redundancy, ensuring continuous operation. Maximum power per rack is 12 kW, and the maximum power density per area is 3 kW per square meter, achieving a PUE of 1.4.
Security
A two-stage security concept safeguards the facility, combining electronic access control with biometric hand-vein verification. The premises are further protected by a fenced perimeter, mantrap entry, CCTV surveillance, and on-site security staff during business hours. Fire safety is ensured through a highly advanced VESDA system and a fully automatic nitrogen-based fire suppression system.
Infrastructure and Facilities
The datacenter offers 600 sq.m. of fully built-out whitespace with flexible options including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and suites. The facility is purpose-built with raised flooring and expandable whitespace. Additional amenities include roof access, meet-me rooms (MMR), conference and break rooms, office space, WiFi, crash carts, loaner tools, and parking availability.
Connectivity
The datacenter is carrier-neutral, offering multiple meet-me rooms and connectivity to four network providers with one peering network, ensuring high-performance, low-latency networking.
