ITA operates a modern, tier-3-grade data center colocation facility in Luanda, Angola. Built in 2016 to the latest international standards, it is located in a secure area in Lar-Do-Patriota. The facility is equipped with high-quality APC racks and Schneider Electric Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units.
Power and Redundancy
The data center is designed for high availability with a fully built-out power capacity of 2 MW. It features a comprehensive power backup system, including redundant power supply units (PSUs), a large battery backup system, and three standby generators. The infrastructure maintains an N+1 redundancy standard for its UPS, standby power, and cooling systems, ensuring continuous operation.
Security and Support
Physical and operational security are robust, featuring a fenced perimeter, 24/7 CCTV surveillance, and secure access controls. The facility is supported by an on-site Network Operations Center (NOC) and technical staff, providing 24/7 monitoring and support, including "Remote Hands" services for clients.
Connectivity
The data center offers significant connectivity options, including redundant links to both SAT-3 and WACS submarine cables over independent fibre paths. This is further enhanced with microwave redundancy. Additionally, the facility is directly located at ITA's teleport, providing seamless access to satellite services and one peering network.
